FAQs
OriGym CIC is a women’s wellness organisation based in Manchester and Cheadle, we are dedicated to helping women improve their physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing through holistic therapies and supportive community-based services.
Who are your services for?
Our services are exclusively for women.
We support women of all ages and backgrounds, whether you’re dealing with stress, burnout, physical tension, or simply want to feel better in your body and mind.
Do I need any experience to attend sessions?
Not at all. All of our sessions are beginner-friendly and tailored to your individual needs. You don’t need any prior experience with wellness practices, therapy, or breathwork.
What therapies do you offer?
We offer a range of holistic services, including:
- Cupping therapy
- Massage therapy
- Somatic breathwork
- Breathwork sessions
- NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming)
- EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique)
- General wellness therapy
Each session is designed to support your nervous system, release tension, and help you feel more balanced.
What is somatic breathwork?
Somatic breathwork is a guided breathing practice that helps release stored stress and emotions from the body. It works on calming the nervous system and can lead to deep emotional and physical relief.
Is cupping therapy safe?
Yes, cupping therapy is a safe and widely used technique when performed by a trained practitioner. It may leave temporary marks on the skin, but these are not bruises and usually fade within a few days.
How do I know which therapy is right for me?
If you’re unsure, we can guide you. We take a personalised approach and can recommend the most suitable therapy based on your needs, whether that’s physical tension, emotional stress, or mindset work.
Are your sessions private or group-based?
We offer both 1-to-1 sessions and small group experiences (such as breathwork). This allows you to choose what feels most comfortable for you.
Do you offer a safe and private environment?
Absolutely. OriGym CIC is a women-only space where you can feel respected, and supported at all times.
Your comfort and confidentiality are a priority.
How can I book a session?
Call now on WhatsApp or message direct. You can also book by contacting us directly or through our booking system (details provided on the website). We recommend booking in advance as spaces can be limited.
Is this a medical service?
No, our services are holistic and complementary. They are designed to support wellbeing and are not a substitute for medical treatment. If you have a medical condition, we advise consulting your GP before booking.
Do you offer funded or free sessions?
As a CIC, we aim to provide accessible wellness support. From time to time, funded or subsidised sessions may be available depending on grants and community programmes.
What should I expect at my first session?
You’ll be welcomed into a calm, supportive environment. We’ll have a short consultation to understand your needs, and then guide you through your chosen session at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
What should I wear or bring?
Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to relax. For bodywork sessions, appropriate coverings and privacy will always be maintained.
What makes OriGym CIC different?
We focus on the deeper root of stress and tension — the nervous system.
Our approach combines body-based therapies, emotional release, and mindset work to create real, lasting change, not just temporary relief.
